SAFETY / READ BEFORE RUNNING

THE GAME
NEVER COMES FIRST.

Your surroundings, health, local rules, and judgement take priority over every chase, target, streak, mission, medal, and group result.

Legal & safetySafetyTermsPrivacyCookies & storageAccessibility
If something feels unsafe, stop.

Slow down, pause, or end the run. Move to a safe place and seek appropriate help. In an emergency, contact the local emergency services; do not use Raptor Run to request or coordinate emergency assistance.

1. Your responsibility before a run

  • Choose a lawful route that you know or have assessed. The app does not approve, inspect, or make any route safe.
  • Check weather, daylight, surface, traffic, closures, local advice, and your device battery before setting out.
  • Tell someone where you are going when appropriate. Carry identification, water, medication, lighting, or other equipment suited to the route and conditions.
  • Use appropriate footwear and visibility equipment. Do not trespass or enter roads, railways, construction areas, water, unstable ground, restricted land, or isolated places merely to continue a run.

2. Stay aware

  • Do not look at or operate the screen while moving. Stop somewhere safe before changing settings.
  • Keep audio low enough to hear traffic, people, animals, alarms, instructions, and other hazards. Use one earbud, transparency mode, or no headphones where conditions require it.
  • Never use the app while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or doing an activity that needs your full attention.
  • A dinosaur warning is entertainment, not an instruction to sprint, cross a road, change direction, leave a safe route, or ignore pain or danger.

3. Pace, health, and fitness

Raptor Run is a recreational fitness game, not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, coaching, rehabilitation, or a guarantee of fitness improvement. Pace targets, calorie estimates, training insights, race predictions, and workout suggestions are estimates and may be unsuitable or wrong.

  • Use a pace and duration appropriate to your ability and current condition. There is no need to sprint or complete a chase.
  • If you are new to exercise, returning after illness or injury, pregnant, taking medication, or have any concern about whether exercise is suitable, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before using demanding modes.
  • Stop and seek appropriate help for chest pain, faintness, severe breathlessness, confusion, sudden weakness, injury, or any other concerning symptom.
  • Never treat an achievement, streak, leaderboard, notification, or challenge as a reason to ignore rest, recovery, medical advice, or changing conditions.

4. GPS, sensors, and estimates can fail

Location, pace, distance, altitude, cadence, route lines, chase timing, and safety-related context may be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate because of buildings, trees, terrain, weather, device settings, signal loss, low battery, sensor error, or software failure. Raptor Run is not a navigation or live-tracking service and does not monitor your location for emergencies.

5. Minors and vulnerable runners

The current service is for adults aged 18 and over. It is not designed for unsupervised use by children. Adults responsible for another person must not rely on the app as supervision, safeguarding, or location monitoring.

6. Sharing routes

A generated route image is designed to omit roughly the first and last 150 metres, but that does not guarantee anonymity. Landmarks, times, titles, notes, or the remaining route may still reveal sensitive places. GPX and CSV exports can contain the full route and detailed timing. Review every export before sharing and use the receiving service's privacy controls.

7. Groups and competition

Group rankings and challenges are optional. Do not pressure another runner to exceed their ability, disclose a route, or run in unsafe conditions. Suspected cheating, harassment, dangerous challenges, or misuse may result in removal from a group or suspension of an account.

8. Acceptance

By starting a run, you confirm that you have read this notice and will put real-world safety ahead of the game. This notice describes important risks but cannot list every hazard or replace your own judgement.
